Abstract Awards

ABSTRACT AWARDS

Awards will be given in each of the five main submission topics (Neurotrauma, Vascular Brain Injury, Acquired Brain Injury, Neurotechnology, Neurorehabilitation) for a total of fifteen (15) awards in the following categories:

  • Best Overall Abstract
  • Best Young Investigator Abstract
  • Best Early Career Abstract

Definitions

Young Investigator
For the purposes of this award, a “Young Investigator” is an individual in training (graduate or medical school, residency, fellowship, or post-doc).

Early Career Investigator
For the purposes of this award, an “Early Career Investigator” must be no more than 10 years post-completion of terminal training.

Review Process

The International Planning Committee will review and determine which submissions receive awards, as well as the most appropriate presentation format (oral or poster) for each accepted abstract.

Accepted abstracts will be published in a supplemental issue of IBIA’s official journal, Brain Injury.
