Elisabeth Wilde
Biography
Elisabeth Wilde, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Research in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine and a Health Research Scientist at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston, Texas. She received her PhD in clinical neuropsychology from Brigham Young University and completed her internship and post-doctoral training at Ann Arbor VA Medical Center and the University of Michigan Medical Center. Her research interests are in neuropsychology and neuroimaging, particularly of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and its associated comorbidities. She has participated in over 35 federally-funded clinical and translational projects as a primary or co-primary investigator or co-investigator, and has authored over 105 peer-reviewed publications. She has been actively involved in the International Common Data Elements for TBI initiative supported by NIH/NINDS and other federal funding agencies since 2008, most recently as Chair of the Mild TBI and Concussion Working Group and co-Chair for Sports-related Concussion, Persistent Injury Working Group. She has also been involved in the American College of Radiology (ACR) Head Injury Institute and the Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers Alliance (QIBA). She has directed imaging cores for multiple consortia and multi-site studies, co-directed the Imaging Core for the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center TBI Center of Excellence, and is currently the Director of the Department of Defense and VA co-funded Chronic Effects of Neurotrauma Consortium (CENC) Imaging Core.
