Biography
Jacoba (Joke) Spikman is Professor of Medical Neuropsychology at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, as well as Clinical Neuropsychologist, Head of Department of Clinical Neuropsychology, Neurology at the University Medical Center Groningen. Her expertise includes disorders in ‘prefrontal’ regulated functions (attention, executive functions and social cognition) in relation to adaptive behavior and neuroimaging in patients with acquired brain injury (in particular traumatic brain injury), neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders. Her research focusses on determinants, assessment as well as treatment of these disorders.
