Biography
Kerstin Spielmann finished her study in Neuropsychology in 2013, at the Maastricht University in the Netherlands. In the same year, she started her PhD in the Rotterdam Neurorehabilitation team (RoNeRes); this is a collaboration between Rijndam Rehabilitation Institute and the department of Rehabilitation medicine of the Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam. For her project, she is running a multi-centre randomized clinical trial to investigate the effectiveness of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) in the sub-acute phase of aphasia. She is also working for other projects regarding individualized tDCS for stroke patients and cerebellar tDCS in healthy subjects. During her PhD project she also obtained clinical experience in neuropsychological diagnostics for stroke patients with aphasia.
