Biography

Olli Tenovuo (MD, PhD) is Adj. Professor of Neurology and Neurotraumatology at the University of Turku, Finland, and the Head of the Department of Rehabilitation and Brain Trauma Care at Turku University Hospital. He has led a multidisciplinary research group on traumatic brain injuries for 20 years and conducted TBI-related research from several fields, from psychiatry to intensive care. During the last ten years the research group has expanded rapidly including currently more than 30 people with different educations and specialties. The group has participated in several international collaborations. Recently, the research focus has mainly been in biomarkers and imaging of TBI. Tenovuo is a member of the Board of Governors in IBIA, member of the Scientific Planning Committee of six last World Congresses on Brain Injury, member of the Editorial Board of Brain Injury, member of Scandinavian Neurotrauma Committee, and a regular reviewer of several scientific journals and international funding applications in the field of TBI.
