Biography
Riemke de Boer qualified for her medical degree in 2012, at the Leiden University in the Netherlands. Shortly after graduation she started her residency for Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and will finish in February 2017. During her residency she started her scientific research in the Rotterdam Neurorehabilitation team (RoNeRes); this is a collaboration between Rijndam Rehabilitation Institute and the department of Rehabilitation medicine of the Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam. Her research focused on the role of brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) polymorphisms on aphasia recovery in acute stroke.
